Project Description:
The client approached us with the need for secure storage and shared usage of credentials by employees, without dependence on third-party cloud services. SVC Service proposed a solution involving the deployment of the free Bitwarden password manager on a dedicated virtual server in the Hetzner infrastructure.
Implemented Tasks:
- Selected and deployed a virtual server in Hetzner.
- Installed the Ubuntu Server operating system.
- Configured the Docker environment for isolated and secure service deployment.
- Deployed Bitwarden in Docker containers.
- Configured a web server for service access.
- Issued and automated SSL certificates via Let's Encrypt.
- Ensured secure HTTPS access to the password manager.
- Performed basic server hardening configuration.
