Security System Modernization via Ajax Integration — SVC Service Case
Security System Modernization via Ajax Integration into Existing Analog Infrastructure
Project description:
The client is a commercial facility (warehouse and office-production premises) with an existing analog security alarm system in which significant investments had already been made. A full replacement with a wireless system was economically unreasonable and would require dismantling the cabling infrastructure. SVC Service implemented a hybrid solution integrating the Ajax ecosystem while preserving existing investments.
Initial conditions and limitations:
- No mobile notifications or remote control.
- Outdated control panel with no integration into modern services.
- Limited automation scenarios.
- Difficult scalability and zone expansion.
- No centralized system monitoring.
Project objectives:
- Provide full functionality of the modern Ajax ecosystem.
- Preserve and reuse existing analog sensors.
- Implement a single centralized system management point.
- Enable future scalability without additional cabling works.
Architecture:
A hybrid security model was implemented based on Ajax Hub with the Ajax MultiTransmitter module, allowing wired analog sensors to be integrated into the Ajax ecosystem.
- Existing wired sensors are connected to the MultiTransmitter inputs.
- Each loop is configured as a separate zone with its own alarm type.
- The Hub connects to Ajax Cloud and forwards events to users and the monitoring center.
- New wireless Ajax devices are added in parallel without affecting the legacy system.
Implemented tasks:
- Audit of the existing analog system and inventory of sensors and zones.
- Inspection of cable lines and signal types (NC/NO, EOL, DEOL).
- Installation and configuration of Ajax MultiTransmitter.
- Integration of all existing wired sensors into Ajax.
- Deployment of new wireless motion detectors with photo verification and door/window sensors.
- Installation of indoor and outdoor sirens and panic buttons.
- Configuration of user access rights and automation scenarios.
- Setup of mobile apps and redundant communication channels (Ethernet + GSM/LTE).
Technologies used:
- Ajax Hub (Jeweller / Wings)
- Ajax MultiTransmitter
- Analog wired motion and perimeter sensors
- GSM and Ethernet communication channels
- Ajax Cloud and Ajax mobile applications
Project results:
- Preserved investments in existing analog sensors.
- Implemented full functionality of a modern security system.
- Client received instant push notifications and remote system control.
- Detailed event logs and monitoring center integration enabled.
- Improved reliability through communication redundancy.
- Future-proof scalable architecture without reconstruction.
This case demonstrates SVC Service’s practical approach to security system modernization without radical replacement, minimizing CAPEX while delivering enterprise-level functionality.
