Implementation of Wi-Fi Infrastructure in Warehouse
Project Description:
A client from Rivne approached SVC Service with a request to organize a stable Wi-Fi network in their warehouse for connecting data collection terminals (DCT) and a guest network for employees. We implemented complete coverage using UniFi equipment, laid fiber optic network between buildings, and configured network isolation using VLANs.
Implemented Tasks:
- Wi-Fi coverage planning considering warehouse conditions (height, metal, wall thickness)
- Installation of 9 UniFi access points connected to a hardware controller
- Configuration of two separate Wi-Fi networks:
- Main — only for DCT, with MAC address-based access
- Guest — for employees, isolated via VLAN
- VLAN configuration on UniFi controller and Cisco switch
- Fiber optic line installation between warehouse buildings
- Installation and configuration of Cisco PoE switch for powering 9 access points
- Coverage zone calculation in 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands for ensuring stability
